ZOE'S GHANA KITCHEN X DALSTON ROOF PARK: WEST AFRICAN FOOD COMES TO EAST LONDON

So after living South of the River for probably the good part of 8 years (to all non-Londoners, there's a pretty big psychological North/South divide across London), I ventured East on Sunday, East being Dalston...

It's actually pretty easy to get to, what with East London transport links developing over the past few years. (Our route involved hopping on the tube to Highbury & Islington, & then it's a quick 4 min rail ride overground). If you haven't been, you should really check out Dalston Roof Park! It's kind of like a social club/public space/bar & rooftop garden which plays host to a variety of hip, cool events, for hip, cool people - from Fat Buddha outdoor yoga, to recently playing host to the latest Dazed & Confused September issue launch party.

We went along last night to watch the sun set over London & sample some Ghanaian food from Zoe's Ghana Kitchen, enjoying chicken wraps, jollof rice, crunchy coleslaw, spicy beans, & one my favourites of West African cuisine, the plantain, yum!

You can find Dalston Roof Park here, & more about Zoe here.
