The Lawn Bistro, Wimbledon

What we had:
sea salt & rosemary freshly baked bread rolls, served with salted butter
spinach, blue cheese, walnut & spiced pear salad
chicken liver pate with warm toasts
grilled sea bream served with an olive oil mash, spinach, & tomatoes
pork with a mustard mash, caramelised apple, & crackling
rum baba with soft ice-cream, mango & basil
2 x coffees with homemade chocolate truffles

I couldn't recommend The Lawn Bistro of Wimbledon highly enough. Everything was perfectly seasoned - flakes of sea salt & crushed pepper visible - the service was impeccable but not overbearing, the food was of extremely high quality (I don't think I could pick a favourite aspect even if I tried!), & the cost was easily affordable - GBP22.50 for 3 courses including breads. Best meal I've had out in a while, maybe this year! They're a new restaurant (this year will be their first Christmas), so my only concern is that they can't keep going at this standard & these prices for too long given our uncertain economy! Fingers crossed for their longevity!
