County Hall Bakery

We chanced upon this place in the most happenstance manner - wandering around a chilly, overcast Southbank, looking for a cozy pub of the bowl-of-chips variety, but one glance at the menu & a peek inside the windows, & we just couldn't resist a little salad & afternoon tea at the French Bakery inside County Hall ;)

The food was divine, immaculately & so thoughtfully presented, & the decor somewhere between stylish French salon du thé, Alice in Wonderland, & Conde Nast House & Garden magazine

Go! check it out! -here.

(I had the chocolate & Earl Grey tart. eee.)

(ps: thanks for all your comments - after starting a new job I'm still catching up on replies, but it's always such a pleasure to read your notes!)
