Happy -Almost- (Anti)-Valentine's!

Ceri & I went to the Shoreditch Vintage Fashion fair today, which was just lovely, a treasure trove of old delights (saw a few Burberry trenches for less than 100 pounds!), caskets of jewellery, & a vintage tearoom on the side..

Highlight of the day: picking up a newspaper-boy cap by Aquascutum for  a fiver.

Lowlight of the day: leaving my polkadot pleated skirt in a paperbag in the tearooms! D'oh!

Is it Christmas Season Yet? {Keeping Warm in High-Tops}

I'm SO into high-tops at the moment! Seriously, if you'd asked me a year ago, I would have said they should only be seen on the likes of Avril Lavigne or tween punk wannabes. Then Isabel Marant happened. I picked up a navy blue pair from River Island, swapping the original white shoelace for black, to make it a little more subtle (as subtle as high-heeled trainers can be, anyway..)

My Saturday consisted of some haddock fish-cakes & a bloody mary at the Young Vic theatre bar, walking over Waterloo bridge, & seeing the Christmas tree being erected in the courtyard at Somerset House. I have a feeling that Tiffany's will sponsor the ice-rink again this year: that lovely blue colour is all over the banners :)

(Did I mention, I can't wait until Christmas?! #BigKid)

Pizza at Franco Manca's!

A rainy Saturday night in a cold and wet London? You could stay in on the sofa with a blanket & watch a movie.. instead, last weekend, we pulled on our wellies & traipsed across to Brixton Village food market: an "outdoor" space (it's actually all under cover) where artisan shops & restaurants & gelateria (the best salted caramel!) open up & welcome all: no booking allowed, it's a queueing system only.

Franco Manca's is one of the best well-known "secrets": soda-dough based pizza at £6 a pop!

Happy almost-Friday!
