SPRING PEACH

I'm super inspired by all things girly & pretty this spring/summer, from pastel lace-up brogues you might have worn in school, to glittery sunglasses that wouldn't look out of place in Los Angeles, & iced coffees in the park - or rather, Heals, my new favourite lunch hideaway in London...

Other current inspirations include Haleigh, from Making Magique, she posts such dreamy photos, & has such a unique girly meets ladylike style, i'm totally trying to emulate that high-waisted skirt thing!

WELCOME TO ORLA'S WORLD!

For London Fashion Week AW14, I was thrilled to be invited to wear some of the Orla Kiely resort 2014 collection! Along with several other bloggers, we got to the Orla Kiely showroom nice & early on  Friday 14th, with bags of shoes, sandals, sunnies & other accessories. The brief: mix Orla with pieces of our own, high fashion together with street fashion. I opted for a gorgeous jade & cream geoprint dress, (if you look closely, the print is made up of criss-crossed hearts, apt for valentines day i felt!), together with a ladylike handbag, green print glowing through a black felt cover, & an ivory coloured clasp. I had gone into the showroom on the monday prior so had already chosen my clothes, & with that in mind, I picked several green pieces from my own wardrobe: my woven platforms from Spring/Summer 2013 (Zara), & of course my green Kenzo iPhone case. London was playing games with the weather, & so my sunglasses (white, hexagonal, Topshop), remained largely perched on my head :)

It was a great day, & a wonderful opportunity, thanks to Orla Kiely & the Wolves PR team! It was also fun meeting some other fashion bloggers, including Faten from Fat Cat, Megan from What's New Pussycatt, Jo & Victoria from She & Him <3

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

I found these photos whilst rummaging through my dropbox uploads, the sunshine of Cartagena (top 3 pics), followed by a recent pic of Barcelona over New Years. The tinted translucent pipes belonged to the opera house on Cartagena's port, a rather magnificent looking building that enclosed a mirrored walk-through passage..

I have a ton of pics from Barca to post, more soon!

MORE ISSUES THAN VOGUE / BOSIDENG PARTY

I'm so into wordy tees at the moment, even though it's probably a fashion moment that will pass in a blink!

On Thursday I was invited to attend the fancy new Bosideng store in London, a Chinese menswear label. It may have been for men, but the big leather holdall bags? How perfect would they be for a weekend getaway??

(I'm also really into the lookbook shots, the moody photos of pensive bearded men look like an editorial straight out of Oh Comely magazine)

I was wearing:
sunglasses : Karen Walker
necklace : Topshop
watch : Michael Kors
leather braclet : Banana Republic
tee : ebay
pants : Topshop
bag : Zara
flats : forever21

Thanks Village Press & Bosideng!

SUMMER SUN, BLUEBELLS, & BAKED CAMEMBERT

Last weekend I met up with the family in Dulwich park, & it seemed like the first signs of Summer were making their appearance!

{wearing: dress by New Look, jumper & pumps by Topshop, sunglasses by Miu Miu}

After a walk in the park, we headed to The Plough for lunch, where we enjoyed baked Camembert with chutney, Gloucester Old Spot sausages with beer-mustard mash, the crispiest onion rings & gravy, plus rib-eye steak with baked tomato, mashed potato, & peppercorn sauce. Following which, we indulged in some Pimms & fruit jelly with toffee-apple ice-cream, & peach & raspberry crumble served with raspberry sorbet. Yum!

Spotted this rather tall bee in a hat, looking down at us outside the pub!

...& then we popped to the Horniman Museum, & came across this pretty cool/scary artifact:

After saying hello to the long-haired goats, I finished the evening back in Clapham, jug of Pimms on order. Yup, Summer has arrived!

Have a fab weekend!
