WAREHOUSE #FASHIONSHOOTERS STREET STYLE FESTIVAL

This past Saturday I braved the crazy bipolar weather (hail in the sunshine?!) to visit the #fashionshooters festival hosted by Warehouse & Elle Magazine, over at the Loading Bay just off Brick Lane. Warehouse came up with the concept of involving their customers & budding fashion photographers in photographing their new campaign & Spring/Summer collection. Some awesome old-school film foodie bites were on offer, including brisket in brioche buns served in leather camera cases, & bitter lemonade in film protectors. I'm kind of glad I chose to wear pastels, because it seems such a pretty colour palette is back in for this season! I wore my new favourite midi-length checked skirt from Topshop, some lace-up brogues from h&m, and a duck-egg blue knitted sweater. I happened to pop into a vintage emporium en route & swapped my sparkly mui mui's for this £8 pair of cat-eye/gold bar sunglasses. I love ad-hoc buys when you're sheltering from the rain!

Mid Week Inspiration!

Sometimes, the compilation of something creative turns out to be a hell of a lot harder than you expected it to be: after several hours trying to edit some foodie pics, frustrated with the (lack of) output, I've decided to instead put up a few photos that have mooched around aimlessly on my hard drive since fashion week. Looking at them, it reminds me why I do what I do, why I love taking photos, & how a new dish, a pop-up store, or a fantastic piece of fashion design, can really inspire & motivate me!

LFW AW13: Street Style Day Two

.

It's been comparatively quiet on the street style front this season, but I did see a few people rockin some awesome oufits. The girl in the neon beanie & perspex jewellery (who since identified herself as Alina via my instagram!) wore one of the prettiest coloured faux fur jackets in a pale blue. I also snapped ones in white, including a clutch..

I don't know whether it's because I now dye my hair as well, but lately I've found myself drawn to statement hair colours. One of my current favourites is a pale, space-age shade of grey, particularly with an ombre tip of pale pink, blue or lilac ❤❤❤

Electric blue is always good, whatever the season:

Black leather jackets are of course, always on trend. Love the quilted shoulder here, plus the fabulous blue & white chequered sunglasses.

LFW AW13 Day One

Day One: I've taken hundreds of photos, seen most of the Made in Chelsea cast, gained blisters on both feet, & had scenery collapse on me MID-SHOW (!). It's been a long day, but here are a few snaps to introduce my London Fashion Week AW13.. Enjoy!
